I admit it...I am completely, totally, entirely infatuated with Google and Google Tools and Extensions. I will make a concerted effort to not become a Google-aholic but there will be lots of posts about my new love. If you love Google, stay tuned or check back. If you love tech or know someone who does please share. As always, feel free to send review suggestions to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ever wished you could same directly to drive? With this extension you can. Save images, HTML5 video, PDFs...all with a right click. Quick and convenient. Perfect for teachers, researchers, and students.
My favorite extension right now is Google Docs Quick Create. This extension allows you to hover over the button, select the type of document you want to create (doc, sheet, slide, form, etc.) and you jump right to the new document. You do not have to go to your drive or use the app launcher - it all launches right from the drop down. Brilliant!
The "share to classroom" extension might be the most helpful of all the extensions for teachers who are using Google Classroom. With this extension teachers can push webpages to classes so they are instantly available for students.
As a teacher librarian I am often asked about my favorite technology tool. I don't have a single favorite - that would be like asking which of my daughters I love the most - but I do have some that I feel that I can not function without. My favorite bookmarking site is Symbaloo. I use it for Central to organize all the websites that my students and teachers need. I use it personally for those sites that I need to keep organized. Because it is a "social" bookmarking site, I can find other published Symbaloos to share with my family or the Central community. Check out the Central Symbaloo below - lots of links to help you find what you need!
